Koh Tao lies in The Gulf of Thailand, on the eastern coast of the country 600km from Bangkok, Koh Tao is easily accessible from all parts of Thailand.

The closest port on the mainland is Chumphon from where it only takes 1 1/2 to 2 hours by boat to reach Koh Tao.

Welcome to Scuba Junction!  I arrived on Koh Tao in 2004, just for a week and I never left! My enthusiasm, patience and bubbly personality together with my experience makesmy student’s training easy.

I am dual rated with PADI & SSI and can teach a wide selection of specialties. I really enjoy teaching the Dive Master trainees / Dive Con trainees, and supervising their progress.

Natalie manages our Face Book group and you can ask her direct what life is like on Koh Tao and what is so special about diving. 

'Bear'

Manager - Instructor

Nic Wood-Smith (known as Bear to all)  came to Koh Tao in 2001 to take his PADI Advanced Open Water course and like many before him, ripped up his return ticket to the UK and decided to stay on turtle island to become a diving professional.   A PADI Master Instructor and SSI instructor, he brings the experience of 8 years full time instruction to all his students.

David - Head Instructor

David has a great deal of knowledge from diving all over South East Asia and has been with Scuba J. since 2003.

For the past 4 years SSI has rated him in the top 20 Instructors in the entire Asia Pacific region, a great achievement (but don't tell him that, or his head will not fit through the door!)

He is a PADI and SSI Master Instructor and has been introducing people to 'his' world for over 6 years. David has accumulated 5000+ dives so far and has certified over a 1000 new divers.

His experience and patience will make even the most nervous novice overcome their initial reluctance and become mesmerized by the beauty of the underwater world.

He and his partner Waew, also supply delicious Thai lunches for anyone at the dive center.

Mr. Sang - Dive Boat Captain
Our Captain since 1998, always knowledgeable and talkative. The friendliest Captain around Koh Tao! He can entertain for hours with his stories of how it all started on Koh Tao and how he changed from fishing boat captain to dive boat captain.

Mr. Deow
Deow has been with Scuba J. since 2002. A friendly young guy whose duties include ferrying divers to the boat and filling tanks. He is also a passionate diver in his free time.

The WRSTC is dedicated to the worldwide safety of the recreational diving public and is the mecanism for worldwide cooperation in reaching international consistency in minimum course training standards. As all members have to adhere to the same standards, there are virtually no differences in the training programs of its members, making international acceptance very easy.

At Scuba Junction we offer training programs either through SSI (Scuba Schools International) and PADI (Professional Association of Diving Instructors), both are the market leaders and certify the majority of divers world wide.
